Overview and Responsibilities
Nickelodeon is seeking a well-spoken, detail-oriented fan engagement manager to interact with current and potential fans in real time across various social media platforms. This individual will work collaboratively to promote current programming and key priorities through answering questions, mediating conversations, and sparking discussions. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, the ability to work across multiple departments, a strong sense of humor, and an intuitive sense of good judgment.
The person in this role must have an extensive knowledge of Nickelodeon’s past and present library along with pop culture trends. You love quoting popular Nickelodeon shows and can spend hours excitedly discussing your favorite episodes. If you grew up on iCarly, Victorious, Hey Arnold and Legends of the Hidden Temple, then you will be perfect to work on Henry Danger, The Loud House, and Legends of the Hidden Temple (Yes! It’s coming back!)
Responsibilities
• Work with Social Media Manager to determine voice guidelines for existing and emerging social accounts
• Work with Marketing, Digital, and On-Air teams to ensure fans are aware of Nickelodeon initiatives
• Create and implement communications plans for increasing fan engagement across priority social platforms
• Use social media measurement tools to identify and engage with potential fans
• Interact with current and potential Nickelodeon fans through the voice of the brand
• Provide reports around trending properties, pop culture moments, and other
Basic Qualifications
• 3-4 years experience working in social media; preferably with a media, journalism, or communication background
• Strong grammar and editorial skills
Additional Qualifications
• Expert knowledge of all social media platforms and ways fans use them
• Available to work a flexible schedule to support social and on air events
• Deep knowledge of Nickelodeon’s past and present show library
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and extremely organized
• Ability to deliver clean, concise copy under tight deadlines
• Previous experience working for large online publications
