We are looking for an outstanding Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our Content FP&A team in New York. You will support Content - a key organization that encompasses licensing, artist and partner relations, delivery operations, programming, and external reporting. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music and the optimization of Spotify’s core business model.
What you’ll do
• Be a trusted business partner for our Content organization, providing value-added insights into the business
• Build complex and analytical forecast models to support our licensing team in negotiating deals with our rightsholders
• Undertake ad-hoc projects to analyze and understand the financial implications of proposed business decisions
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and quantify areas for financial improvement and optimization across the business
• Support the quarterly P&L forecast process for designated Content areas
• Establish and develop relevant recurring reporting to support management accountability
• Provide cross-functional financial support of company bets and initiatives
Who you are
• No stranger to granularity!
• Minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, etc.
• Experience with FP&A, preferably in a start-up, entertainment/digital media, or FMCG company
• High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving utilizing financial modeling and analysis, including advanced Excel (VBA and SQL skills are a plus) and experience working with data cubes
• Experience with royalty and/or licensing business models preferred
• Strong communication/presentation skills with a track record of presenting complex analysis to executives/senior management
• Able to navigate and thrive in a fast paced, highly collaborative, and international environment
• Self-starter who is intellectually curious and not afraid to seek out projects independently
