This position functions as a member of the Corporate IT Operations team and reports to the Manager of Enterprise Applications. The Systems Support Engineer – PeopleSoft Financials / SCM, is responsible for working with functional business partners in the support of the PeopleSoft applications.
The Systems Support Administrator will administer and remediate any incidents within the PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management system. This role will support requirements for the Blackboard Finance teams within the PeopleSoft Financials (GL, Contracts, AR, Billing, AM, PC) and SCM (Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, & Manufacturing) modules. The PeopleSoft Financials/SCM Administrator will be responsible for system support, system troubleshooting, patch management and overall SLA adherence. They will be expected to analyze current configurations within PeopleSoft Financials/SCM, recommend configuration changes based on requirements and best practices, conduct root cause analysis on PeopleSoft related incidents, and interface with Oracle on any incident or change requiring escalation. Additional responsibilities include:
• Responsible for daily PeopleSoft support for Financials (GL, AM, Contracts, AR, Billing, PC) and SCM (Purchasing, Order Management, Inventory, and Manufacturing)
• Provide functional and technical consulting services by acting as subject matter expert on PeopleSoft Financials/SCM
• Responsible for understanding effects of requested changes up and down stream within PeopleSoft Financials/SCM Applications.
• Answer, review, and respond to issues from the customer to provide expedient and accurate issue resolution
• Collaborate with Test, Development, Infrastructure, Security and Release Management teams and others to resolve system issues
• Ensure all tickets are acted on promptly, effectively and closed out promptly
• Ability to recommend solution based on “Best Practice” recommendations from Oracle
Professional Qualifications
Required Skills:
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Business or Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of Techno-functional experience in ERP systems (PeopleSoft, Oracle Fusion, Oracle E-Business, SAP or other)
• 5+ years of experience configuring/supporting PeopleSoft Financials (GL, AM, Contracts, AR, Billing, PC) and SCM (Purchasing, Order Management, Inventory, and Manufacturing)
• Intermediate level knowledge of SQL on an Oracle Database environment.
• An understanding of the Oracle and PeopleSoft Internet Architecture and its technical components including: PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Designer, PeopleSoft Cobol, Integration Broker, Component Interface, security, workflow, customization standards, reporting (SQR, Crystal, PS nVision, PS/Query), and PeopleSoft self-service applications
• Hands on experience with supporting ERP daily and troubleshooting issues related to daily processing
Preferred Skills:
• At least one full-cycle ERP implementation – transitioning from on premise to cloud ERP application highly preferred
• Implementation skills plus experience with the application implementation life cycle, including: requirement analysis, fit/gap analysis, application configuration, functional/technical specifications, integration, product enhancement and support
• 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst supporting a finance organization with an emphasis on project management.
• 5 years of experience with Oracle Applications; Oracle E-Business Suite- including CM, PO, AR, AP, GL and FA
• Understanding and some experience with QA methodologies
