OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The Analyst, Metadata Services (Linear/VOD/TVE) is responsible for the process of collecting and distributing descriptive and schedule metadata to support in compliance with industry and internal standards with a focus on BBC America’s Linear, VOD and TVE workflows. The Analyst is also responsible for the production and distribution of Series/Season level metadata deliverables (Avails, Folder Requests, etc.), performing research on products and services to support metadata processes, and evaluating issues and special requests from client groups.
SCOPE:
All Original and Acquired programming (BBC America, AMC, IFC, Sundance, WEtv)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review incoming AMCN network schedules and ensure they are compliant with internal standards and partner requirements.
• Construct and distribute series/season-level metadata deliverables as per industry, specific affiliate, and platform specifications.
• Gather entertainment metadata for scheduled series and films and vet for compliance with internal standards and partner requirements.
• Create/gather title-level IDs, working to maintain consistent conventions and procedures for use.
• Assist with research and evaluation of products/services that could be integrated into metadata deliverables (Rovi, EIDR, etc.).
• Assist with evaluation of Business Unit requests and new initiatives as they pertain to existing metadata workflows.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties, as assigned.
