Summary:
The Art Director, Marketing and Engagement, will work as part of a team in a collaborative, open-office environment to produce branded collateral, corporate materials, and other marketing materials that express our brand excellence, communicates our mission, builds enthusiasm for the brand and compels people to act. Work within brand standards and bring a sense of curiosity and innovation to the workplace. Work closely with the Creative Director, Director of Creative Strategy, and key marketing and communication partners to develop effective, high quality creative solutions for our priority impact programs, events, marketing campaigns and other materials, quickly from concept to completion across multiple platforms with minimal direction. Should be capable of generating multiple design solutions driven by marketing strategies on time and on budget. Should be able to give clear direction to other designers, freelancers, and vendors to maintain campaign and brand consistency. Should be able to source and communicate clearly with printers and other vendors to produce materials. Should be well versed in the most current design and marketing trends, techniques and programs.
Responsibilities:
1. Partner with key marketing strategists and creative directors to develop multiple creative concepts and presentations for priority marketing campaigns. (35%)
2. Design and execute creative marketing materials in multiple media from concept to completion, including printing and delivering final products on time and on budget. (35%)
3. Collaborate and art direct staff and freelance designers to elevate quality and effectiveness of all marketing collateral. (15%)
4. Effectively pitch new campaign or collateral ideas to department leadership and key partners. (10%)
5. Collaborate and brainstorm innovative ideas or design techniques and develop solutions for the organizations design challenges. (5%)
Minimum Education Required:
BA in Graphic Design or relevant degree.
Minimum Years and Type of Experience:
Minimum 7 years of working on multi-platform digital and print project at an in-house agency, ad agency or design firm.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Must be proficient in the Adobe Design Products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver). Must be fluent in HTML5, CSS and be knowledgeable about web design, responsive design and email design. Must be knowledgeable of the print design and production process. Knowledge of After Effects and video editing software a plus.
Must collaborate and communicate effectively (oral and written), manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, pay close attention to detail.
