Little About Us
Our account management team oversees campaigns that are sold and managed through our Gemini and BrightRoll DSP+ platforms. AMs serve as a main point of day to day contact for our advertisers and are a vital cog in 1) providing best in class client services for our marquee clientele and 2) protecting and growing revenue for our advertising business for Yahoo!, which accounted for 86% of the company's entire revenue in 2015.

Account Managers that are most successful at Yahoo! also adopt a team first and pay it forward mentality, working outside of their book of business to support and help develop more junior talent across the organization.
Your Day
• Protect and grow ad revenue for the assigned book of business.
• Support clients with business operations based overseas. This can require part time commitments to objectives outside of the assigned book of business.
• Have a deep understanding and ability to analyze client ROI/CPA goals and data, media buying cycles, web site architecture, product/service update schedules, marketing philosophy, target demographics, etc.
• Understand how Yahoo! products, primarily Gemini search and native, will assist clients in reaching their marketing goals.
• Work side by side with an Account Director to sell into new business and assist with up-selling existing clients.
• Act as the lead with your dedicated partner teams (AOS, CS, OS, Reporting Analysts) to manage client services and develop account strategies.
• Proactively create strategic recommendations and implement search solutions for each client. Partner with our Performance Strategy, Product Management (PM), Technical Account Management (TAM), and Research and Insights teams to enhance and support these solutions when necessary.
• Expand relationships with regular face-to-face client visits to build and maintain deep-level partnerships. Act as a lead on all client-facing presentations and engage key internal participants when necessary.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of all internal systems to respond to general and specialized client requests; including billing inquiries, click activity inquiries, bidding requests, relevancy issues, etc.
• Maintain and update proficiencies in the search and display marketing space.
You Must Have
• A bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
• 3+ years of Account Management/sales/marketing experience with a preferred minimum of 12-18 months of junior account management (or similar) experience. Search experience is required.
• Experience working and thriving in a team environment with shared goals and business objectives.
• A strong background working with clients face-to-face in an outside sales role.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding computer skills including advanced knowledge of spreadsheets (MS Excel), word processing (MS Word), and CRM systems.
• Demonstrated experience effectively optimizing marketing campaigns by analyzing performance and recommending adjustments to key performance drivers.
