DESCRIPTION:
Good Day Sacramento - KMAX/CW 31 has an opening for a creative freelance News Segment Producer. The ideal candidate is a strong, creative, energetic, self-motivated news writer. This producer is required to write stories for 3-5 minute news updates during Good Day’s 5.5 hour program as well as breaking news stories for CBS13 morning news. Producer will also coordinate live remotes for Good Day and CBS13. This position is for up to 4 days per week, 2a-10.30a shift. Good Day Sacramento is a successful, long running morning show. We currently broadcast live from 4.30am-10am Monday through Friday and 7am-11am Saturday-Sunday. QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Live newscast writing and/or producing background is a must. iNews experience is also required. Background check required. We are a morning show so you must be willing to work all shifts. Please attach your resume, cover letter and link to your reel.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s in Journalism or similar degree is preferred.
