Primary Responsibility:
The primary responsibility of this position is to update the affiliate billing system with accurate affiliate subscriber data and review and analyze remittance information from distributors (cable operators) for proper revenue reporting for the national networks of AMC Networks Inc., which are: AMC, WE tv, IFC tv, BBC America and Sundance TV, as well as AMC Networks International. Specifically, this includes the review and analysis of system level reporting and data trends in order to ensure the reasonableness of subscriber numbers and revenue amounts, as well as the periodic review of customer contracts. End product reports are utilized by Sales, Finance, and Accounting.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Update subscriber numbers in accordance with positioning requirements as stated in contracts Apply payments Process adjustments Bill affiliate revenue in accordance with most recent contract terms Monitor and pursue collection/reconciliation of outstanding balances on the aged trial balance for assigned entities Prepare deposits and record deposits Perform monthly AR close process Prepare Excel schedules as needed/requested for analysis and/or reconciliation Assist with training of new employees as needed Assist with testing of new/current AR systems as needed Assist Manager and Director as needed Ensure that all deadlines and guidelines for billing and accounts receivable are met

Description/Purpose
1. VP – Assistant Controller
Apprise of potential issues pertaining to MVPD’s and related subscriber data.
2. Affiliate Sales Operations
Communicate contract issues and invoice discrepancies as well as overall customer service issues.
3. Multichannel Video Programming Distributors/ Clients
Customer service related tasks such as requesting subscriber data and payments, along with resolving rate and subscriber discrepancies.
4. Accounting
Provide end product reports to assist with reconciling to the general ledger.
KEY MEASURES OF SUCCESS
Financial and Operating metric(s):
Ensure that the affiliate billing system is complete and includes the most current and accurate affiliate subscriber data resulting in accurate and timely revenue reporting.
Operating metric(s): Strict adherence to the timelines established for the monthly/quarterly financial statement close process. Through the use of automated processes and support from Financial Systems, reduce the time required to close the books and improve the timeliness of reporting.
Qualitative metric(s), such as teamwork:This position will need to work as a member of a cohesive team that can successfully meet tight deadlines and respond quickly to changes in business environment. Must work closely with all business unit management teams and affiliate sales operations to ensure timely and accurate reporting. A successful analyst will be instrumental in providing accurate and timely subscriber data and revenue reporting to corporate and business unit heads.

Technical/Functional Competencies
Accounts Receivable software (Medea) experience a plus. Excellent computer skills in a Windows environment with intermediate to advanced experience in Excel and Word
3. Key Experiences/Achievements
Bachelor’s Degree preferred with basic knowledge of accounting.
Two to three years’ experience in a general accounting/ Accounts Receivable/Analyst environment
