Monetization Specialist
The monetization specialist collaborates with the monetization manager and the design, production and programming teams to ensure integration of monetization design into online games. The incumbent also works in partnership with the monetization manager and Business Intelligence (BI) team to establish tracking & reporting needs.
Type of Position:
Permanent, full-time.
Responsibilities:
The main and routine tasks of the monetization specialist are to:
• Collaborate with the design team to define, apply and optimize different monetization mechanisms;
• Own the shop tools for control of shop items and price setting on all platforms;
• Set premium and in-game currency (IGC) prices for all in-game stock keeping unit (SKUs);
• Monitor the in-game economy to ensure premium spending is supported by IGC spending;
• Ensure effective purchase flow for item sales inside the game;
• Collaborate with the BI team to identify and implement monetization tracking/reporting needs;
• Use player’s spending data to drive monetization decision making;
• Report on sales of in-game items for both premium and in-game currencies;
• Follow trends and benchmarks in order to set monetization best practices;
• Carry out all other related tasks.
Relevant Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in monetization.
Skills and Knowledge:
• Extensive knowledge of Excel ;
• Knowledge of visualization/reporting software (ex: Tableau) ;
• Strong analytical skills ;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ;
• Result - oriented ;
• Team spirit ;
• Proactive ;
• Knowledge of the video game industry ;
• Knowledge of online gaming.
