The Digital Strategy and Initiatives team is seeking a Product Manager – Digital Sales Data & Financial Analysis. This role is responsible for systems and applications supporting the Ad Sales and Operations functions. This individual will work with business owners and across tech teams to define and refine business process and system solutions that align to the evolving needs of the Ad Sales and Operations departments. This individual will play a senior development role against those system solutions, as well as providing technical support for and maintenance of existing systems and applications within Ad Sales and Operations. They will manage a team of analysts and developers, including offshore resources, to deliver against identified business needs. This role reports to the Director of Systems Development, Sales Applications for or Digital Strategy & Initiatives team.
Critical applications include our legacy digital order management system, IASS [built on the PeopleSoft CRM package], AdBook [SaaS digital order management system], PeopleSoft Financials [billing, A/R], DART for Publishers, Freewheel, and various BI tools. Familiarity with these systems and/or analogous packaged software is critical, as is general familiarity with and exposure to typical business processes in Ad Sales and Operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Work with internal business clients/partners to define and document business requirements and create solutions for the Ad Sales and Operations departments
• Serve as senior member of a team of developers and analysts
• Serve as backup for Director of Systems Development, Sales Applications, DS&I, in meetings and communications as needed
• Collaborate with the full Condé Nast Technology team to enhance and streamline business process and overall user experience for Ad Sales and Operations
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
• Thorough understanding of key business processes relating to Ad Sales and Operations systems
• General experience with and understanding of the digital advertising landscape a must
• Experience managing the system development life cycle, including scoping, requirements gathering, agile development, quality assurance, production support, and project planning are a must
• 3-5 years experience with DART for Publishers a must
• 3-5 years hands-on technical experience as a development manager and/or architect
• 2-3 years experience with digital sales and order management systems a must: Operative, Fattail, DSM, etc.
• 2-3 years managing a team in a multiple client environment
• General experience implementing large scale enterprise ad systems for a large company
• Solid experience with ERP systems, and PeopleSoft in particular, highly desirable
• Solid experience and understanding of key concepts in CRM systems
• Familiarity with Salesforce highly desirable
