Anchor to more than $6 billion of reinvestment in a revitalized downtown Kansas City, the award winning venue has welcomed more than 9 million guests attending close to 900 events. Having exceeded attendance and financial projections in each year since opening in 2007, AEG/Sprint Center has provided nearly $10 million in unanticipated revenue to the City of Kansas City through a revenue sharing provision in the arena management agreement.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Coordinator, Facility Presentation will assist in all aspects of Facility Presentation during event and non-event times. This position will be both a creative and technical position that will work in sync with other departments to ensure that Sprint Center operates optimally at all times and that all patrons, clients and promoter/production managers are consistently treated in a first class, professional manner producing successful events. This demanding position requires a flexible work schedule, which will include some evenings, weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Responsible for creative content development, design and coordination of content development; including, but not limited to graphics, animations, and video and audio editing/production.
Provide operational assistance for all the video, audio, production, signage and lighting systems and related equipment to present all events and facility in a best-in-class manner.
Basic maintenance on all video, audio, production, signage and lighting systems.
Assist in creation and enforcement of policies and procedures regarding facilities presentation with a specific focus on the maximizing the integration of all associated systems.
Assist in coordination and oversight of all activities and personnel engaged in operating, maintaining and programming the audio and video systems within the facility.
Continuously review the departmental needs and recommend repairs, maintenance or special projects to Facility Presentation Management.
Track emerging video, audio and technology trends and how they might apply to the organization.
Assist in supervising including but not limited to part-time staff and third party vendors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):
A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
Years of related work experience: 2-4
Experience working in a professional video company or similar experience.
Experience in event based production.
Proficient in the following equipment/software: Adobe CC, Daktronics, Ross Video Production Equipment.
Self-motivated, positive attitude and collaborative.
Must be organized, committed and able to manage time and deadlines while paying attention to detail.
