High Level Job Description: Design, Develop and support Enterprise applications for a Major music publishing company. The applications are built using various technologies such as Cloud Foundry, NodeJS, Java/Spring back-end and Angular JS, GWT as front end. The applications are hosted in AWS (Amazon Web services) for internal and external users.
Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities(Include the following, other duties may be assigned):
• Lead developer for continuous product improvements and support of our global end-to-end multi-domain enterprise applications emphasizing on the back-end Data Services; including Integration services with various corporate applications.
• Understand and troubleshoot critical elements of Front-end modules built on JavaScript and GWT based frontends frameworks.
• Collaborate and co-ordinate with local and remote New York, Malaysia based technology team; when required must be flexible in schedule to facilitate real time communication with external teams via Skype, phone, or other tools.
• Assist Business Analyst and Technical Architect in design and development.
• Document design and write documented code.
• Perform Unit testing.
• Level 2 or 3 application support/troubleshooting production system.
• This position reports to an IT manager.
Required Competencies/Skills:
• 5-6 years’ experience in Java application development, Spring Framework, REST API, JSON, Maven, JavaScript frameworks, J2EE.
• Working experience of Eclipse, Netbeans, Linux, Elastic/Lucene and Junit.
• N-Tier enterprise application development in a distributed environment.
• Multi-threaded programming.
• Working knowledge of Cloud Foundry, Message queue (or RabbitMQ) and GitHub.
• Knowledge of Cassandra or NoSQL database and Elastic Search.
• Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL.
• Design and development using Use Cases or TDD.
• Full life cycle development.
• Excellent team player contributing to the team success.
• Good English and communication skills.
• Enterprise applications work experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in cloud application development, preferably in AWS (Amazon Web Service).
• Good understanding of middleware Cache implementation.
• Understanding of AngularJS framework.
• Comfortable with Agile development.
• Comfortable with remote team collaboration.
• Experience with transactional data, b2b, and back office.
• A passion for innovation and technology.
• Music publishing industry experience a plus.
• Able and willing to travel Internationally when required.
Education/Experience Required:
• Degree in Computer related field or equivalent work experience.
