Reporting to the VP Delivery, the Business Analyst will be a critical enabler of cross-team collaboration and project success at the organization. The Business Analyst will be charged with leading the project definition process with clients, including definition and documentation detailed functional and business requirements, facilitation of communication between cross-functional teams, and contributing to the overall improvement of our products, projects and process. As a key owner of the end product, the Business Analyst will be a highly engaged individual invested in the successful delivery of transformative digital solutions.

• A strategic thinker, thinking strategically about the improvement of the client’s business through the use of digital and non-digital applications
• Customer focused, being a believer in the customer experience, and acting as the bridge between technology solutions and customer needs.
• Innovative, recommending new approaches to digital applications based on data driven insights provided by Analytics Specialists and Strategists
• An effective communicator, ensuring an understanding the complexities of a digital project and ensuring a common understanding within the internal and external project teams
• A collaborator, collaborating on the development of a standard set of tools and formats to communicate business and technical requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences
• A master facilitator, interviewing the client’s key stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements
• Extremely detailed, leaving no stone unturned when mapping out complex interactions between users and digital systems
Your Key Responsibilities:
Here’s what you’ll be doing day to day…
• Collaboration: Working closely with client/team to understand objectives, scope, timing, and budget
• Workshop Facilitation: Conduct stakeholder interviews and client workshops to uncover the business goals and objectives that a solution must address;capture and present ideas, through white-boards, sticky notes, process maps – ensuring that every data point in brainstorms and workshops is identified and mapped
• Visual Presentation: Produce information architecture diagrams, use cases and process maps, visually representing how information, users and processes flow
• Requirements: Own the requirements gathering process, both in the Discovery of a solution (writing Business Requirements), as well as the Technical Definition & Delivery of a solution (writing Functional Requirements)
• Clear Communication: Ensure collaboration, and clear communication of ideas across teams – utilizing the requirements as the benchmark that Project, Strategy, Creative, Technology and QA teams are working towards
• Technical Knowledge: Carry a keen understanding of technical knowledge and software development lifecycle best practices; support technology teams through the development phase of the project, triaging tickets and questions on the requirements as they arise
• Change Management: Communicating changes to requirements in order to ensure a common understanding of the final product
• Quality: Assist QA teams in developing their test cases, providing the guidance and support needed for a polished product delivery; manage the UAT phase of projects, leading the client through approvals of the final product, ensuring that the build is up to the standards designed initially conceived in the requirements
Your Experience & Intangible Traits:
The ideal candidate for a Business Analyst position will possess the following competencies:
• Technical: Strong technical background in understanding how software and hardware systems interconnect, and how databases and information architecture is designed (via SQL, HTML5, CSS, XML, CMS, etc.)
• Demonstrate experience in developing and owning Business & Functional Requirements documents, as well as managing requirements within JIRA, Teamwork, or other such project management tools
• Exceptional knowledge of the software development lifecycle, while working in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Superior ability to manage short- and long-term projects simultaneously, managing time and prioritizing effectively across multiple initiatives
• Incredible attention to detail, thoroughness, and precision in all deliverables
• Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills
• Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Engaging team player, excited to collaborate and self-start new ideas and solutions
• 3+ years of experience in Digital Strategy, Business Analysis, Information Architecture or UX for digital projects
• Bachelor’s degree and/or diploma in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science or similar
