Job Description
We make the Internet great, fast, accessible, intuitive, and simple (and of course affordable). We power digital media across any and all platforms on a global basis; we provide security services, acceleration services, delivery services, storage services, transaction services, and dynamic services to thousands of customers around the world and millions of consumers every day. We do all of this through innovation, creativity, hard work, and fast processes, with accountable leaders empowered to make decisions. We value the culture we have built and the learning we provide to our employees as they grow, as that is our secret ingredient for success!
The Vendor Performance group is a financial operations team within the Technology Operations group of Verizon Digital Media Services. The group manages the “procurement-to-pay-process” for mission critical services sourced by the Technology Operations teams. The group also works with operations to review and manage service contracts, validate billing, build operational and costs reports, and monitor vendor SLAs to identify potential credit requests.
We are looking for a Finance Intern who aspires to build a career in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) in a fast-paced technology company. You should be someone who likes Technology and interested to get to know about the building blocks of the business versus just the numbers. You will be provided with an opportunity to roll-up your sleeve, learn from your mistakes and work alongside a team of highly skilled professionals in the field of accounting, finance, contract management and vendor management while having a great vantage point in the organization to witness the new Technology that is changing the way we do business.
Job Responsibilities

Assist the financial operations analyst on a project to build a datacenter infrastructure management reporting system to bring together contractual, financial and operational data around datacenter infrastructure services procured. The goal of this reporting system is to generate user-friendly, up to date data in dashboard formats for the use of the key business decision makers in the organization.
This reporting system will be built by configuring a web-based enterprise platform (Service Now) by in-house developers from the Enterprise Applications team and you will be provided with the opportunity to experience how a business stakeholder work with other technical teams to execute a reporting enhancement project.
Day-to-Day:
• Contractual and financial analysis for datacenter service related contracts
• Assist with running excel models to track operational metrics
• Provide administrative support to the vendor performance department as required
