The Audience Targeting team manages the fulfillment of behavioral targeted campaigns that run on MDP’s owned and operated websites as well as executed programmatically. For digital sales, this position will proactively evaluate and develop segments for sales based on opportunity & revenue potential, scale, performance and competitive differentiation. This position will be the focal point of contact for the planning and execution of AT campaigns.
This position will also work on large strategic clients, identifying and pairing client needs with the appropriate Meredith data and attributes across all platforms to maximize performance both on and off of the Meredith network. This will entail providing proactive segment analysis/development and campaign optimization. The ideal candidate must possess excellent project management skills, the ability to work with various internal groups, as well as interacting with clients. Knowledge of behavioral targeting, optimization strategies, providing associated client facing insights and experience working within DMPs is a must.
Essential Job Functions

Proactive segment development to drive digital sales
• Work with Director, Audience Specialist to set strategic direction and priorities for audience targeting
• Work with sales team to understand and identify opportunities with existing or new clients
• Optimize campaigns for delivery and performance, evaluate and develop segments for sales based on opportunity, revenue potential, scale, performance, competitive differentiation etc.
• Contribute to sales/marketing materials
30%
For major campaigns/clients:
• Identify key segments based on client direction (e.g. which segments have scale, impactful, packaging opportunities) and aid in monitoring /optimizing campaigns against the targets
• Work with BI, Analytics, Research and Sales groups throughout campaign life cycle
• Perform analysis on campaign performance and provide recommendations

Manage data attributes
• Work to set strategic direction on key categories of data needed to maximize audience targeting
• Identify new and critical data attributes, e.g. consumer database attributes, client data, new partner data, offline-online data matching, cross-platform data matching
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelors degree required.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years working with digital sales and a deep working knowledge of audience targeting
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience in digital segmentation and working directly with a DMP.
Excellent ability to establish relationships and work with the sales team.
Possess ability to process data from multiple sources in order to provide recommendations, identify trends.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, creating charts), PowerPoint, Salesforce.
