DESCRIPTION:
CBS Radio in Phoenix looking for experienced business development professionals to drive new sales and revenue from businesses who are not current clients of CBS Radio. New Business Development Account Executives sell CBS assets through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and executing account plans and marketing initiatives. The job requires developing and managing a pipeline of prospects from qualification to close. An aptitude for identifying and solving problems is necessary to thrive in this role. Providing superior service before and after the sale is a must.
Responsibilities:
Assesses clients’ needs and determines the appropriate solutions.
Develops and implements strategies and business plans through understanding the client’s business model.
Closes business and manages all processes before and after the sale.
Continuously prospects to develop new clients and maintains a high level of activity to generate new leads and opportunities.
Keeps current in the latest media and business trends and develops strategies to identify and activate new ways to help our clients grow their business using CBS Radio assets.
Achieve assigned sales goals and account acquisition targets.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have two or more years of outside sales/business development experience with a verifiable track record demonstrating an expertise in qualifying and closing business.
• Must have business development skills including the ability to generate and qualify prospects; the aptitude to consistently prospect for new business through cold calling, networking and gaining referrals to maintain a pipeline; the ability to utilize questioning skills to uncover reasons for buying and to qualify prospects.
• Must exhibit strong organizational skills and self-motivation to achieve personal and company goals.
• Must be a team player and have experience working in a fast growth, dynamic environment.
• Must be flexible to changing needs of the daily business, knowing sales results are the #1 priority.
• Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate value proposition of doing business with CBS.
• The ability to identify decision makers and build strong relationships to drive sales is required.
• Must be an entrepreneurial, self-motivated, independent thinker who performs with a sense of urgency.
• Must have a valid driver license and a reliable vehicle with minimum state required insurance.
• College degree is strongly desired.
• A local candidate with knowledge of and pre-existing relationships in the Phoenix Market is preferred.
