About the role
In support of the department vision to create an exceptional workplace, the facility manager develops, implements and maintains facility programs that reflect the priorities of continuous improvement, automation, thinking globally and identifying best practices, while at the same time working to reduce Autodesk’s financial exposure.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
• Develop guidelines for space management and conduct overall space planning, including furniture moves, reconfiguration and ongoing process improvement.
• Conduct ongoing needs assessment by soliciting divisional headcount information and growth information to determine space needs for future planning.
• Proactively manage complete facility maintenance of building/sites including, but not limited to: maintaining superior condition of company space; and is the landlord/vendor liaison.
• Manage facility programs covering disaster preparedness and recovery and coordinate with Headquarters division to implement company-wide emergency response plan.
• Establish and manage facilities budget. Is responsible for reporting financial information. In conjunction with corporate real estate evaluate present and future needs for real estate.
• Maintain and oversee facilities architectural drawings and floor plans. Ensure all construction drawings and floor plans are accurate and up to date.
• Maintain various facility systems such as HVAC, utilities and systems such as emergency generator, lighting, security and fire testing.
• In some locations, also responsible for parking, car leasing and fleet management.
COORDINATION AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
• Effectively manage customer expectations and ongoing customer relations. Communicate status and timeline of facility maintenance projects, enhancements, and changes.
• Develop and maintain standards to manage relationships with facility related vendors.
• Effectively lead and manage Facilities team, including but not limited to Facilities Technicians, Service Coordinators, Facilities Systems Specialists, Security Managers, Directory Assistance/Reception Supervisors, Receptionists, and contracted mailroom operation.
• Growing talent, creating an engaging workplace, mastering communication and collaboration
Required Skills & Experience
• BA, BS or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in facilities or similar experience
• Experience in managing different international locations
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, including writing and presentation
• Highly organized and detail oriented with a proven ability to get the job done
• Dedicated to service and customer orientated
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• Creative thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to maintain and upbeat and positive attitude at all times
• Comfortable in a fluid ever changing environment
• Proficient with multiple desktop applications, including MS Office, SharePoint
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Ability to travel once per quarter.
