Position Summary:
The purpose of this role is to manage the production and roll-out of digital products & services for Discovery Networks brands across Latam & USH, working closely with the central teams, local offices across DLA and digital teams globally.
Responsibilities:
1. The Digital Producer will be required to implement complex digital projects end-to-end; from planning, execution, delivery to roll out on time and to budget.
2. Responsible for project scoping: identifying stakeholders, defining approach, setting KPIs for project and product success, outlining potential risks
3. Producer must be able to leverage the expertise of strategy, creative and technical leads across the business making sure relevant input is assessed and acted on.
4. Take charge of the project post launch review, reporting and training (where necessary). Analyse product performance and plan improvements / upgrades when required.
5. Create engaging and innovative products for all digital platforms (web, mobile web, mobile and social media) that support the Discovery Networks content pipeline across TV, Consumer Products and Commercial departments.
6. Support digital initiatives that can range from production of stunts for Franchise properties to creating games, apps, video services and websites
7. Commission work internally (from other departments) and from external agencies and vendors, negotiating rates and contracts (with legal department)
8. Manage relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders and service providers delivering high levels of communication whether written (production briefs, create product decks and project plans) or verbal (managing briefing meetings and presenting new product ideas)
9. Work closely with the technical teams (internal and external) to make sure all products and services have a testing plan and are fully tested ready for launch.
10. Manage conflicts effectively; identifying and initiating corrective action where necessary
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in developing digital content & services within an international company or web agency environment.
• A full knowledge of digital production processes with direct experience of the various client-facing, strategic, technical and creative elements is required
• An in-depth understanding of technical and creative production processes
• Creatively and analytically minded – ability to find insights and transform into executable ideas or solutions.
• Excellent people management and conflict resolution skills
• Used to working in complex, matrix-managed, collaborative organizations
• Proactive, hardworking and enthusiastic
• Methodical, and organized with excellent attention to detail
• Project management or account handling skills
• Experienced in management of budgets, purchase orders and invoices.
