Job Summary:
Assists the promotions or marketing departments with daily activities that promote the station(s), clients or events.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and manage day-to-day promotional activity on select radio station brands, on-air, on-line and/or on-site; reporting directly to the cluster Media Integration Director. (MID)
• Communicate with Programming, Digital and Sales departments all essential requirements for on-air/on-line contesting, events and promotionally driven content.
• Ensure compliance with CCM+E and FCC rules, regulations and contesting as it pertains to complying with policies and regulations.
• Research, evaluate and make recommendations for participation in third-party promotions (city and suburban festivals, concerts, events).
• Facilitate execution and planning for Major Promotions/Events, and possibly direct a team of P/T staff to carry out or implement activity. This includes station driven concert events.
• Develop and manage creative and branding images for stations and websites as directed by the MID.
• Support online initiatives of the cluster, as managed by the MID by creating, scheduling and tracking digital elements with the assistance of the digital team.
• Implement strategic and tactical plans, including scheduling and execution of programs with national and local advertisers, entertainment partners, charitable programs and any elements deemed appropriate to grow audience and revenue for specific brands in the cluster.
• Serve as resource for sales staff in the development of on-air/online contesting and promotional programs, station events and marketing campaigns.
QUALIFICATIONS
• BA in Communications/Marketing Preferred, marketing, promotions or advertising experience accepted.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing or related field, preferably in a US major city. (i.e.- promotions, event planning, project management).
• Working Knowledge and experience with radio broadcast, and FCC rules and regulations related to broadcast marketing.
• Working knowledge of Social Media and on-line trends, including mobile applications of content.
• Proficient in all MS Office programs.
• Naturally organized and have aptitude of managing and leading multiple projects at one time.
