Job Description:
The Senior Project Manager position is responsible for the development and maintenance of project budgets, schedules and resources to meet project contractual requirements. The ideal candidate is able to effectively communicate with team members and the client to facilitate changes to business requirements and project schedule(s); has exceptional organizational skills to ensure project(s) are completed on schedule and within budget; and has excellent verbal and written skills. Other key responsibilities include managing change in project direction, scope, resources, costs and timing while minimizing financial risks; coordinate project deliverable pursuant to published schedules; and provide direction with regard to the timeliness and completion of project objectives. Senior Project Managers are an integral piece to our client serving culture.
Qualifications
What you’ll get to do:
• Create and executes project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
• Management of multiple different email and print versions for a fast-paced retail client
• Ensure all collateral and external communication meets client legal requirements
• Identify resources needed and manage resource responsibilities as they relate to the project
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
• Track resource hours and manage overall project budget
• Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization
• Facilitate team and client meetings effectively
• Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors when necessary
• Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
• Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
• Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
• Effectively utilize each team member to his/her fullest potential
• Motivate team to work together in the most efficient manner
• Mitigate team conflict and communication problems
• Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
• Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
What you’ll need to succeed:
• 6+ years project management experience
• Knowledge of MS Project
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to manage project budgets while adhering to strict deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Client facing experience required
• Provide quality control through all aspects of project
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people at all levels as well as within a team
• Ability to receive critical feedback and provide revisions accordingly
