A Little About Us
The B2B Marketing team is responsible for bringing our stories and ad products to market, driving awareness and enabling Sales with the tools to succeed and drive revenue. We partner closely with the Sales team to drive in-market awareness for advertisers, agencies, publishers and ad technology partners. Differentiating Yahoo Advertising (search, native, display and video ads) and BrightRoll (DSP and exchange) in unique and innovative ways is critical to the success of this team.
A Lot About You
The Senior Sales Marketing Manager of Demand Generationis responsible for managing and executing demand generation marketing programs designed to: raise Yahoo Advertising and BrightRoll’s brand awareness to the right B2B audiences, attract an ongoing pipeline of high value prospective clients, and support revenue growth initiatives for Yahoo’s mobile, search, native and video ads. You will serve as both a player and coach in overseeing a team responsible for: lead generation management and optimization, acquisition and retention programs focused by ad product and industry vertical, and all outbound marketing channels centralized through our marketing automation tool. You will be data-driven in all aspects of this role and will require expertise in go-to-market planning, paid media (i.e. Google, LinkedIn, and Twitter), marketing automation tools (i.e. Marketo), and be a strategic partner to Sales and the rest of the B2B marketing organization to launch programs and turbocharge results.
Your Day
• Partner with Ad Product, Vertical, Publisher and Content & Design teams to identify and prioritize outbound marketing channels and drive awareness to specific B2B audience personas.
• Develop account-based marketing strategies to help shape content creation and distribution to top performing accounts and prospects.
• Reach more prospects and clients in the right way at the right time by focusing on the customer journey, and with the re-packaging and scaling of content across our channels.
• Analyze and segment client data to help define prospect and clients with high engagement and revenue growth potential.
• Establish goals and KPIs for all demand generation programs based on historical or projected results, and tie back actual performance and revenue impact.
• Test new tools to better automate and scale our programs, with an emphasis on integrated marketing.
• Develop a holistic demand generation marketing strategy and oversee the internal resources and processes required for success.
• Budget, plan, execute, and optimize demand generation campaigns.
• Coordinate with outside vendors when necessary to deliver on larger requests (marketing automation dashboards, audience segmentation, lead management tracking).
You Must Have
● 8-10 years of demonstrated success in owning, leading and managing demand generation programs at B2B organizations.
● Experience working with Salesforce.com and Marketo (or other marketing automation tools).
● Expertise in search and display advertising, retargeting, email marketing, SEO and landing page optimization, and website analytics.
● Exposure to direct marketing tactics, including email, webinars, sponsorships, trade shows, mobile and use of third-party data sources.
● Past success in driving website traffic and converting traffic into qualified leads.
● Experience in funnel optimization and lead scoring based on sales leadership collaboration.
● Proven team player that has partnered with marketing and sales leadership
● Exceptional communication and copywriting capabilities.
● The ability to both lead and execute marketing campaigns.
● MBA preferred
