DESCRIPTION:
CBS Interactive is seeking a social content producer for the CBS daily talk show "The Talk." The ideal candidate for this position is obsessed with social content creation and fan engagement and has extensive experience creating content and writing for social audiences across various social platforms old and new. The ideal candidate also thrives in a fast-paced, live television environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage The Talk’s social channels - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat - from end to end, including creating engaging and effective content (photos, video, GIFs), writing compelling copy and deploying all posts.
Live tweet during daily live shows and monitor social conversation and engagement.
Shoot and edit photo and video assets for social distribution before, during and after daily show tapings and other show-related engagements.
Develop content rollout strategy for social channels, balancing various stakeholder requirements to achieve network goals and business KPIs.
Communicate with show producers, publicists and programming executives to set daily social priorities as related to guest and host content requests.

Track performance of all social output to ensure both social engagement and business objectives are being met.
Collaborate with designers and video editors to execute original editorial and video concepts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-4 years experience producing custom social content and managing social accounts, preferably for a live daily show.
Experience writing compelling headlines and copy optimized for click through.
Experience developing and creating visuals and video optimized for sharing.
Deep understanding of publishing on various social platforms and nuances of the end-user experience on each.
Experience using social CMS such as Sprinklr.
Keen eye for visual storytelling through photo and video with ability to use photo and video editing tools to self-serve on content for distribution.
Must be detail-oriented and a stickler for grammar and consistency in voice.
Must be able to see the broader picture of social as it relates to the TV landscape.
Passionate and knowledgeable about television, pop culture and current events.
Great communication skills and ability to articulate concepts.
Ability to work against tight deadlines and flexibility to pivot on strategy and execution when necessary.
Ability to mine and leverage social and site data to develop content quickly against social trends.
Ability to handle high-demand and high-pressure situations.
Experience working directly with talent and the nuances of talent relations.
Must be organizationally savvy and work well with various stakeholders.
Willingness to work nights and/or weekends if necessary.
Must be able to provide samples of prior work.
Must successfully pass a background check.
