The Localization QC Coordinator for Originals QC will be responsible for helping ensure that Netflix customers across the globe get the highest quality experience from the subtitles, forced narratives, and audio dubs for our Originals content.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create and monitor localization QC projects/requests
• Schedule QCers based on post-schedules provided by Distribution and Localization
• Forge strong partnerships with QC, Distribution, Localization, and the QC workforce
• Triage major content issues that impact Originals’ localized assets
• Track metrics on the performance of QCers
• Ensure assets are QCed on time and communicate any delays
• Obtain and distribute glossaries, proxies, and dub scripts
• Make sound independent decisions, and know when to escalate issues
• Effectively communicate project updates cross-functionally
• Advocate, understand and communicate the company’s values
REQUIREMENTS:
• Prior experience in managing QC workflows of localization assets in the entertainment industry
• Background in subtitle creation and translation and a passion for languages and translation quality
• Deep understanding of differences, subtleties, and nuances between subtitle and dub translation
• Strong expertise and experience regarding audio/video, subtitling and dubbing standards in the international markets Netflix serves
• Possess a thorough working knowledge of common technical issues found in digital video and audio
• Adaptability and resiliency to quick changes in priorities, technology, tools and workflow
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, analytical and multitasking skills
• Fluency in a foreign language preferred<!---->
