Executive Producer
The Executive Producer, develops and produces groundbreaking, innovative content for the CNE Digital Channels.
The position has creative influence over programming for a number of brand channels, managing the efforts of a programming team and outside production companies. This awesome job will be responsible for partnering with the EVP Programming and VP Development on new programs, making videos that stand out, cutting through the noise, and engaging audience across platforms.
You may be perfect if…
• You are a conceptually brilliant thinker, coming up with ideas that truly stand out.
• You are capable of concepting and shaping content across a variety of genres, with a strong focus on non-scripted one-off videos and returnable formats.
• You not only come up with concepts, but you execute on them. You have a production background and know how to run a shoot, even edit video.
• You’ve watched an inordinate amount of videos on the internet, and yes, from our competitors. You not only consume content, you can break down the DNA of success and explain why people share things.
• You share ideas and will contribute to the strategic vision and direction of the channels.
• You love thinking through the overall strategy of a franchise and then managing the development and production process. You work well with internal constituents and know how to vet the possibilities for each project.
• You know how to shape videos all the way to upload. Review, edit, and approve preliminary and final treatments, outlines, shooting scripts, scripts, casting, production schedules, budgets, selects, graphics, music, rough cuts, fine cuts, final narration and final versions of all assigned programs.
• You can manage and inspire a team of producers to produce and deliver a regular schedule of consistent, engaging and scalable videos.
• You have 5-10 years of having seen close to every viral thing on the internet.
• You have 5-10 years of making viral things on the internet, either in freelance or full-time capacity, across platforms.
• You have a sense of humor. You roll with the punches. You’re flexible.
• You have your fingers on internet culture. You get what people like and why they like it. Deep knowledge of emerging digital trends, platforms and talent.
• You have some experience with celebrities and influencers. Concepts which use celebrities in eye-opening, surprising, envelope pushing ways. And also experience with them on set, in often time-crunched scenarios.
• Wide contacts in digital entertainment industry, with a focus on amazing digital creators with viral track records and connections with bloggers who have built in audience.
• Outstanding editorial judgment and creative abilities, strong verbal and written communications skills, and demonstrated leadership skills.
