Condé Nast is looking for an experienced professional to work with key members of the creative community, including: influencers, artists, managers, attorneys, & agents, to facilitate collaboration. The Artist and Industry Relations Manager will be a passionate advocate on behalf of customers educating, influencing and bringing together all the interested parties who can drive mutually beneficial results. Our editorial coverage leans heavily toward the entertainment space and we believe that music content is one of the most important areas online, on any given day, there are multiple pieces focused around music in the Condé Nast portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities
• Generate grassroots support for Condé Nast’s digital music initiatives among the influencers, artist, management, attorney, and agent community, educating through compelling presentations and product demonstrations.
• Facilitate and encourage positive discussions between artists/managers/attorneys/agents and labels/distributors.
• Develop mutually beneficial, compelling solutions that involve artists and/or influencers engaging in initiatives with Condé Nast, resulting in enhanced growth in an artist’s business.
• Help accelerate music first influencer strategy for Condé Nast.
• Develop key relationships and act as Condé Nast’s ambassadors within the artist community and the larger music industry
• Identify and work with promising emerging artists from early stages in their career.
• Unlock digital exposure for artists by providing a platform to the Condé Nast family to keep editorial informed, entertained, and inspired.
• Work closely with representatives from marketing, ad sales, press, and digital to launch new programs including agency visits.
• Partner with Business and Legal Affairs team to ensure timely and efficient contract negotiations where applicable.
Desired Skills and Qualifications
• BA/BS Required
• 5 or more years of experience in a similar role within the music industry
• Proven track record of successful long term client/account relationship management for media or licensing businesses
• Must have the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to communicate effectively and act as both an influencer and an ambassador on behalf of Conde Nast is a must
• Passion and enthusiasm for music
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment
• High energy, low maintenance attitude.
