Executive Director, Consumer Products - MPG
The Director, Licensing & Consumer Products, Interactive is responsible for managing licensing efforts of the interactive category (gaming, digital, etc.), along with developing and driving sales and market share through successful partnerships with licensees and retail customers. The Director is responsible for planning and building the category in order to meet divisional profit goals. The individual must manage and maintain a clear view of every license agreement from business, legal, accounting, and product development and is to manage the activity for the life of a contract.
• Develop new licensing partnerships with those whom have strong category expertise, product development, and retail relationships
• Develop and implement sales strategy and action plan in the Interactive category of licensing for short, medium, and long term based on SPE theatrical and television properties
• Maintain and further develop existing licensee relationships to ensure they are focused on brand strategy while maximizing revenue potential
• Work collaboratively with all areas of the licensing department including legal, finance, retail, promotions, and product development.
• Work with management on the development and execution of retail initiatives and marketing programs with both licensees and retailers
• Work closely with the internal product development team to ensure all licensed product is in keeping with the brand image and commercially viable.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree ( Business, Marketing preferred)
• A proven record of accomplishments and success in building and managing successful, profitable licensing programs.
• Strong contacts in the North American licensing industry, preferably the interactive and gaming space.
• Licensing sales and negotiation, organizational skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to present using sales materials and PowerPoint
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast paced team environment
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects from planning to implementation
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization, and work cross- functionally to drive results
