A Lot About You
The Advertising Products Marketing Manager is responsible for successfully positioning Yahoo as a top competitor in the advertising marketplace across a variety of solutions. An expert in the digital advertising ecosystem, this individual will provide inbound market intelligence to shape product strategy and outbound positioning and messaging to build awareness, enable sales and drive revenue for one or a group of Yahoo’s innovative products in audience buying, analytics, creative formats, programmatic buying and/or native advertising. This individual will work with cross functional teams including Marketing Services, PR, Insights, Product Management, Sales, Account Management, Strategic and Specialist Solutions, Operations and Training to achieve positioning objectives.
Your Day
• Identify market leading brand and performance based advertising products that leverage an effective combination of Yahoo’s capabilities.
• Partner closely with product management, contributing market intelligence as an input to the product strategy.
• Conduct on-going market and competitive analysis to ensure products meet advertiser objectives and provide competitive differentiation.
• Launch new products to market driving awareness and demand including product
• positioning and messaging in solution sales model, planning, creative campaign development, communications (website, blog, social, media and industry speaking channels), direct marketing, industry and client event activation, sales materials and internal communications.
• Define overall go-to-market activities of new advertising products. Partner with B2B marketing to deliver advertiser communications, sales collateral and event plans that will drive market adoption.
• Partner closely with product management and solution specialist teams to craft a clear positioning and advertiser value proposition of our products, ensuring it aligns with the greater Yahoo vision.
• Collaborate with regional leads and sales development teams to develop thorough market requirements, and drive the testing and delivery of new innovative advertising products to the market.
• Enable the sales team to sell these ad products to advertisers through training education, digital sales tools, presentations, interactive demos and videos etc.
• Work cross-functionally across the organization to reach and exceed overall goals.
You Must Have
• 5+ years of Product Marketing experience.
• Experience working closely with Sales, Product Management and other teams on developing and growing product offerings that meet the needs of advertisers.
• A strong understanding of the digital advertising technology marketplace including ad exchanges, targeting, rich media, analytics, creative optimization, etc.
• Technical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Self-starter and a team player.
• Ability to develop creative ideas and implement marketing tactics to grow revenue.
• Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
• Creative, high positive energy and an ability to execute.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills including the desire to do public speaking.
