Overview and Responsibilities
The MTV Insights group is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Manager to join the Brand and Marketing Insights team. The role is responsible for cultivating and shaping the department’s capabilities to track and measure marketing campaign effectiveness and harness effective ROI evaluations. The position requires providing key input to qualitative and quantitative research initiatives designed to deliver insight into our consumer, our brand and our marketing activity across all platforms.
Reporting into Senior Director, MTV Brand & Marketing Insights, and the VP of MTV Consumer Insights, the position requires a passion for the media landscape and industry, and a keen understanding of research techniques to track and measure marketing effectiveness. The ideal candidate must display a real passion for TV and an understanding of millennial audiences.
Responsibilities
• Manage all MTV marketing campaign tracking and awareness and provide insight on measurement pre & post campaign.
• Lead marketing campaign evaluation efforts and steer efforts towards effective cross platform marketing ROI.
• Identify new methods for cross platform (linear + digital) campaign tracking & evaluation.
• Survey design and analysis relating to promo and marketing queries.
• Act as point person and research liaison with external media agency on all queries supporting MTV media plans (network affinities, micro targeting).
• Liaise with external promo planning agency n reach and frequency recommendations and data reconciliation for on-air campaigns.
• Work with internal data science team to maximize collaborative efforts.
• Support Snr Director and team on all priority projects and primary research initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
• At least 4-5 years of related experience preferably at TV network brand or media agency

• A proactive self-starter who can immediately recognize tasks and execute accordingly
• A multi-tasker with a proven track record for meeting deadlines
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Exposure and knowledge of campaign measurement and audience planning tools
• Experience of survey design and analysis
• Demonstrated confidence working with numbers and excel
• Good PowerPoint skills and some experience of presenting
• Understanding of TV ratings and Nielsen measurement currency
