Job Description:
Our Transformation and Resiliency Solutions group is growing, and we are currently seeking an experienced Emergency Management Consultant to work on an on-call basis with our Federal, State and local clients across the country. The Emergency Management Consultant will provide real-world expertise and experience to our clients to support the development and implementation of emergency management policy, plans, training and exercises.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have established network of contacts, able to interface with senior and elected officials, and able to quickly adapt to meet ambitious timelines and changing requirements.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
• Supports a wide range of emergency management projects, to include policy development and implementation, planning, and the development of training and exercises
• Provides management reporting, including staffing and financial status, project performance and risk analysis and mitigation
• Works with federal clients on a daily basis to strategize and execute project tasks
• Manages subcontractor relationships
• Serves as final review and oversight of all project deliverables
• Facilitates workshops and meetings, as appropriate
• Participates as a subject matter expert, as appropriate
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of experience supporting emergency management capabilities
• Thorough knowledge and experience with the National Incident Management System, National Response Framework, Incident Command System, and Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program
• Previous consulting experience
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Certified Emergency Manager (CEM)
• HSEEP certified
Professional Skills:
• Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to develop organized and logical products
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Team and consensus building skills
• Demonstrated ability to interface with clients and manage projects
• Self-motivated, work independently
• Organized, detail oriented, and have ability to prioritize and multi-task
