As Netflix continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a talented team member to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team to drive Marketing analytics and support campaign optimization for Japan. Marketing leadership relies heavily on the Financial Planning & Analysis team to inform important business decisions with actionable data-driven insights.
The position is based at our Tokyo office and involves close coordination with Japan Marketing team and Global Marketing Planning & Analysis team. You will report to the Director of Japan Finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify and size marketing campaigns to execute by assessing market potential and past performance of campaigns
• Assess digital and non-digital marketing campaign performance to improve current executions and inform future initiatives. Identify optimization opportunities across channels - programmatic (real-time bidding, paid social, PMP..etc), reserved buys, TV, etc., working closely with Japan market leads and Global Marketing Planning and Analysis.
• Initiate, design, and evaluate A/B tests to improve mid to long term marketing effectiveness
• Manage and monitor Japan marketing budget and forecast
• Present analyses and recommendations to Japan Marketing team and other members of the Global Marketing Planning & Analysis team to bring analytics insights to life
• Conduct market research, tracking and compiling industry trends and competitive analysis to identify and recommend strategic initiatives to Japan functional leaders (Marketing, Content Acquisition, and Business Development) and Japan country manager
QUALIFICATIONS
• Education from top tier university plus 5-10 years of experience in marketing analytics
• Experience working with digital marketing channels including programmatic, reserve, real-time bidding, and paid social
• Experience developing and running marketing campaigns in Japan (a plus)
• Proven track record and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and analysis, including working with large data sets (log level data) and great Excel skills
• Quantitative mindset with understanding of basic statistics (e.g., correlation versus causation)
• Ability to communicate complex analytical insights in a simple, concise manner and to build strong relationships with both local and global marketing teams to effectively convert insights into action
• Flexibility for occasional oversea travel
• English and Japanese bilingual
