OVERVIEW OF ROLE
This role works across AMC and SundanceTV marketing, merchandising, promotions, business intelligence and digital teams and reports to the VP of Audience Development. The focus of the roll is to use data-driven methodologies to enhance the networks’ relationship with viewers and consumers and improve acquisition and retention on specific channels of communication such as social, digital platforms, promotions and email.
Key to the role is the ability to optimize activities against a variety of network goals, using data and real-world experimentation, as well as working with Business Intelligence and data tools, and to understand consumer behavior as it travels across a wide-range of activities and platforms related to AMC and SundanceTV programming.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Manage and optimize programs that involve the collection of PII, including via sweeps, contests, games and 3rd party partnerships
3. Maximize consumer data insights across all relevant websites, social media and digital platforms, working with Business Intelligence to ensure the best information and data gathering procedures and technologies are in place.
4. Support Marketing efforts through consumer data insights and best practices and work with AMCN’s Marketing and Business Intelligence departments to develop and execute Direct Marketing efforts
6. Analyze user behavior patterns across all AMC/SundanceTV Digital platforms as well as utilize analysis to develop new product designs and refinements to maximize conversion toward key network goals .
7. Manage Email programs from a CRM perspective, helping to develop strategies and implementating best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
Candidate should have at least 5 years’ of highly relevant experience working on customer engagement channels such as emails and other forms of digitally-based one-to-one messaging in a fast-paced digital and media environment, in either a CRM or related role. They should understand methods of individual customer acquisition across a variety of media including social but also TV and other non-digital channels.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of a variety of models to acquire, activate and retain customers.
Candidate should have a strong background in:
• Using digital metrics to understand user behavior
• Working with various types of data analysis, business intelligence, query tools
• Recommending data informed best practices across the organization: digital, marketing, etc.
• Managing a variety of email-based programs such as strongview, mailchimp, mandrill
• Understanding/managing various types of user acquisition funnels
• Experience with product merchandising is preferred but not required.
