Strategy and Digital Business Development Intern

Your challenge:
• Support the analysis and documentation of new media market developments, competitive positioning and trends in video viewing across Europe and the US
• Assist Strategy team members with existing projects, in particular related to digital distribution, new production formats, advertising technology and big data: assess strategic fit, collect and analyze required data, interview experts and stakeholders, build business plan, communicate to RTL Group companies and senior management, manage day-to-day project activities, etc.
• Scan market for interesting technology investment / acquisition opportunities, assist in company valuation and investment presentations along with the M&A team
• Create relationships with RTL Group companies across Europe, and facilitate cross-unit conversations on relevant topics
• Monitor latest industry trends and attend relevant industry events
Your profile:
• You are currently studying for a university degree, preferably for a Master’s degree in business administration, finance or marketing, with a focus on Strategy, Digital Transformation or Business Development
• You are passionate about the Media industry, and up to date on most recent media-related trends
• You have gathered previous work experience through internships or school projects, ideally for a media company or consulting firm
• You have very good analytical skills
• You have very strong communication skills
• You are fluent in English (both written and spoken), any other European language would be an advantage (particularly French and German)
• You have good MS Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
• You have the cultural awareness to work in an international team
• You are willing to travel within Europe

Within RTL Group, the Strategy team is a small and agile group that defines the mid- and long-term company roadmap and bring it to life through ad-hoc projects in collaboration with the various TV channels, radio stations, digital properties, ad tech companies and production companies across Europe and the US. You will be reporting directly to the Strategy Senior Executive and have an opportunity to collaborate with senior managers across the Group.
