Job Description:
Our Transformation & Resiliency Solutions Group is growing and we are looking for talented, highly motivated Senior Business Analysts to join our Information Planning and Management (IPM) line of business for a large, business analysis and management support services contract within a CIO organization. This position will be located at FDIC in Arlington, VA with local travel.
The ideal candidate will work with business clients, a team of technical architects, infrastructure analysts, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to determine needs, gather requirements, develop mission metrics, assess solution readiness, perform research and analysis, and provide program support. Specific areas of focus include but are not limited to: strategic process modeling and analysis, process gap analysis and To-Be proposals. The candidate will demonstrate excellent client engagement skills with the ability to quickly develop relationships at all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and analyze business and IT process models, requirements working with clients to build recommendations based on business analysis findings. Determine requirements and process alignment with goals in business mission. Identify inefficiencies, gaps and desired outcomes in relation to As-Is and To-Be states.
• Lead planning, facilitation of requirements sessions and modeling projects with client managers and front line Subject Matter Experts (SME).
• Assess and maintain an enterprise view of the business, ensuring traceability from organizational strategy to enterprise solutions.
• Document business and system requirements. Identify functional issues, inefficiencies including cross-silo redundancies within the organization. Work with team to create business cases including specific business drivers, issues, and analysis results.
• Conduct research for input to recommendations, business cases, board cases, or financial or technical feasibility studies.
• Provide project updates and technical documentation (i.e. business needs statements, technical specifications, etc.) to clients and stakeholders for business and system development purposes.
• Create and capture metrics that support the organizations requirements management process and compliance, IT governance, and other business processes and controls.
• Define the data shared across the enterprise and capture the relationships among roles, capabilities, and business units.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a IT, business, or quantitative field
• 10+ years of related business process analysis, support in IT PMO, or related business analysis role.
• Experience conducting Business Process Analysis and modeling, process mapping, Gap Analysis, and Process Improvement. Experience working from high level organization processes to specific business process and system level requirements management.
• Requirements facilitation, formal and informal presentations to senior management and committees.
• Experience in applying end to end process analysis, recommendations, feasibility studies, market research, and full software development lifecycle
• Experience working for government as a consultant or similar environment
• Possess strong professional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
Preferred Skills/Experience:
• Experience working for a large financial services organization or regulator.
• Knowledge and experience with formal requirements management frameworks in particular BABOK, and certifications such as CBAP.
• Knowledge of Lean Techniques (e.g. Lean Six Sigma), Organizational Change Management.
• MBA, MPP, MS in project management or other advanced degree.

• Exceptional verbal and writing skills, including editing and proofreading skills
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated customer service orientation and outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support
• Solid oral communication skills, including experience with developing and delivering presentations
• Problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing, or potential problems and recommend solutions
• Solid computer skills with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio) or project management software (e.g., Primavera, or similar)
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes (e.g. RUP, Agile methodologies), and operational experience with program/project metrics tracking and reporting.
