To drive the next wave of revenue growth across our audience verticals, Tribune Media is looking for a monetization-focused product lead who will shape the future of our premium advertising offerings across screens. You will lead the development of the most elegant products that exceed the most demanding marketer needs and dramatically scale revenues.
Responsibilities include:
• Planning, designing and launching ad products that generate premium revenue, while being hyper-cognizant of impacts on user experience
• Driving strategic product decisions via evaluation of market trends and meticulous retrospective and prospective analysis of product and revenue performance
• Assessing, cultivating and maintaining new platform partner relationships
• Working with a cross-functional team of sellers, data leads and engineers to create the most valuable set of products for marketers
• Managing long-term roadmap for revenue-related products and improvements
• Soliciting ideas and feedback, gathering requirements, writing design specs, creating wireframes and workflows, and coordinating cross-functionally - relentlessly relying on your data insights throughout
• Becoming the internal voice and representative for revenue-related products
Requirements:
• History of making things, with proven ability to lead a cross-functional team to ship great advertising products
• Minimum of 5 years of product management experience working on modern advertising products, solutions and technologies
• User-driven with deep appreciation for UX, layout and typography.
• Strategic thinker with great product intuition and knowledge of media, mobile, web, advertising technologies and monetization
• Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to communicate insights in a clear and effective manner
• Extremely well-organized and able to manage multiple project responsibilities with dexterity
• Technical background with a good mix of business analysis skills
• Strong sense of best practices for product management, comfortable with both traditional development methodologies and agile development
• Open and highly collaborative mentality
• Bachelor's degree required. Computer science/engineering majors (MS/MBA/PhD a plus).
• An expert in one / more: multi-platform (web/mobile/etc.), video/ad products, analytics, API, AI/personalization, social.
• Passion for journalism, pop culture, and entertainment
