Overall skills:
Script writer, script editor, line producer, show producer, location producer, location director, off line video editor, story editor. Working knowledge of TV graphic development and music production.
General responsibilities:
Senior producer for all network original programming short and long form, senior producer for NXT TV live and post production, senior producer for all Home Video releases.
Key responsibilities:
Understanding storytelling on every level, including script writing, camera direction, music composition, graphic look, set design, lighting design and how all these elements help to effectively communicate the message and emotion of the characters and the stories we are presenting. Educating more junior producers on all aspects of WWE TV production and storytelling. Understanding the nuances and parameters of how to present stories differently on different platforms. How we protect stories and characters, but at the same time understanding when and how to pull back the curtain. Teach a basic understanding of what is too far and what is acceptable. Have a grasp on the big picture for the company in general as well as how individual characters, storylines, and various programs entertain the audience and move the product forward.
Current specific responsibilities:
Network Original Programming:
Supervising Producer for all network programming
Co-ordinate with CMO on Network programming throughout year
Script-edit all scripts for all shows.
Develop, execute and approve all new programming, all theme week content, and all special programming.
Develop storytelling and story arc for Unscripted Shows
Re-write scripts for Unscripted Shows
Review and approve all Network Program content both short form and long form
A general understanding of how to deliver high quality / cost-effective / highly viewed programming.
Daily review of what the audience is watching on the Network
Keep team on budget across the board
HOME VIDEO
Supervising Producer;
Screen and final approval on all home video content
Collaborate on new DVD titles
Other:
Develop new show concepts, looks and production techniques, including content, casting, set design, music, graphics overall direction and goals of each program
Produce on-air talent for PPV Kickoff shows, Wrestlemania Today, various specials.
What I think we are looking for:
An experienced producer, highly skilled in long form storytelling, a strong working knowledge of every facet of television production. Someone who has ideas - but is able to take direction. Someone who could take on a new project start to finish. To me this person would be capable of handling some or all of the following: Breaking Ground , The Edge and Christian Show, Holy Foley, WWE Kids, The New Raw Pre Show, PPV Kickoff shows and contribute story direction to Behind the Curtain projects including Gorgeous George, 1975 Plane Crash, Bruiser Brodie Murder Mystery etc.
