The School Division is currently recruiting for a Math Consultant to join our team in Don Mills office.
The Math Consultant role is multi-faceted. This role will be the “face” of Pearson’s comprehensive math solution. A key requirement will be to engage with math influencers and decision makers at all levels of education from Departments of Education to school district and school based leaders in order to understand and ultimately influence/impact/support the future direction of mathematics in Canada. The insights gained from the field activity will be shared with the product development and marketing teams to guide their future direction. This role will be field based with a key objective of supporting the sales team in promoting/selling Pearson’s math solutions and ensuring that our customers gain the maximum success with our resources. As this role intersects with the sales, marketing and product development teams, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the direction and ultimate success of our math solutions.
• Engage with math influencers and decision makers at all levels of education from Departments of Education to school based leaders in order to understand and ultimately influence/impact/support the future direction of mathematics in Canada. Share information gathered with product development and the marketing and sales teams to guide future strategy in each area.
• Work directly with sales team in the field to help drive sales of Pearson’s math solutions (pre-sale) and support the business to ensure maximum effectiveness (post sales).
• Develop and deliver effective and engaging presentations/workshops/keynote sessions that articulate and represent the Pearson vision of mathematics success.
• Provide input on sales tools and promotional campaigns as required.
Qualifications
• Completion of a university degree
• A minimum of 10 years of direct experience in the K-12 education space with at least 5 years with a math focus.
• National (some international) travel is required
• Outstanding verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
• Proficient with computers; including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented and strong ability to multi-task
• Adaptable problem-solver and team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong decision making and leadership skills
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills
