Consulting Analysts work closely with the Consulting Manager to understand client business model, articulate project objectives to team members and assist with ground-level project execution. The Analyst is keenly aware and proactive in ensuring positive financial outcomes on projects to which they are assigned. The Consulting Analyst acts as liaison between client stakeholders (and their specific project objectives) and the internal VML team delivering against those objectives. The Consulting Analyst thrives in the role of project SME - being the deep owner of all requirements with the ability to provide detail and current status on any project item. The Consulting Analyst also thrives to become a senior business owner by understanding and affecting the overall relationship and financial health of the relationship through facilitating communications and escalating risks to senior Consulting and P&E team members.
KEY TASKS
Works closely with the Consulting Manager to:
• Understand client business model,
• Articulate project objectives to team members,
• Assist with ground-level project execution, and
• Deliver projects/programs that exceed expectations
• Acts as an internal liaison that reinforces client/project priorities, clarifies requirements and solves for diagnosed cross-discipline gaps
• Schedule and run meetings with internal and external constituents; Able to host project training as needed for onboarding or client needs
• Support project communications
• Manages project team relationship in coordination with Consulting lead
• Supports the Consulting lead and team in scoping new engagements
• Supports the Consulting lead and team in driving internal and external communications (scheduling meetings, compiling/distributing notes, tracking action items, ensure follow-thru on intermediate and milestone deliverables, etc.)
• Maintains project momentum and keeping the project and team on track
• Facilitates project team communications and workflows
• Partners with the team to deliver amazing work during the engagement while balancing overall project health
• Responsible for catalog and maintenance of all project documentation and deliverables
• Supports requirements gathering and refinement including stakeholder interviews (and any required gap analysis), gathering and organizing supporting information, analyzing data and prepping reports that summarize findings; may function as a Stakeholder Proxy both authoring and validating acceptance criteria
• Define, illustrate and clearly explain necessary project processes/workflows
• Able to assist and/or author points-of-view as demanded by the project

Required Skills:
• Ability to clearly communicate complicated and highly technical ideas and concepts to a nontechnical audience
• Ability to analyze risks and develop solutions to mitigate potential damage and delays
• Ability to manage multiple sets of priorities and deliverables
• Ability to define and document workflow models
• Ability to manage internal and external customer expectations based on up-to-date project status
• Proficiency in understanding various technology concepts (.NET, SQL, HTML)
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio
Required Experience:
Candidates must have a four-year degree — preferably in business administration, information systems or IT-based study — and web-based experience.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three yearsof web-based experience, preferably with consumer-facing sites (intranet and application-based are acceptable) and a minimum of two years of professional service experience. Desired certifications and associations for a BSA include the following:
• CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional)
• International Institute of Business Analysis
• ABPMP (Association of Business Process Management Professionals)
