Introduction:

EIU Canback, the Consumer Practice of the EIU and the world’s leading management consulting firm leveraging predictive analytics and serving global consumer-facing clients through four practices: Strategy, Organic Growth, Inorganic Growth, and Organizing for Performance, is currently seeking Business Analysts to work within Canback consulting teams and with client leadership to evaluate business problems, assemble recommendations, and communicate information and ideas clearly throughout projects.
The Business Analyst is an exciting and challenging role, with the opportunity to work independently and creatively under the direction Project Managers on projects aimed at unlocking latent market opportunities. Business Analysts also assist in developing new client opportunities, as well as delivering projects in one of Canback’s knowledge domains supporting our consumer goods, retail, consumer finance and Information and communications technology clients on a global basis.

EIU Canback is staffed with consultants operating in 57 countries, EIU Canback is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts and has other core offices in Johannesburg, London, and Beijing. Satellite and sales offices are located in Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai, New York, Chicago, Mexico City, and Jakarta.
Accountabilities:
In the role you would be expected to:
• Participate in projects for multi-national firms in emerging markets
• Assist with M&A due diligence projects
• Manipulate large datasets to extract quantitative findings
• Conduct research to develop local insights to bridge the geographic and cultural gap
• Integrate qualitative analysis
• Conduct statistical analyses based on our in-house models using Excel and Stata
• Create presentations and participate in regular updates with clients
• Participate in internal initiatives including marketing efforts and recruiting
Experience, skills and professional attributes:
To succeed in the role you must have:
• Bachelor’s degree with a leaning towards quantitative and/or business-related fields from a leading university
• A love of analytics and a willingness to engage in analytical problem solving
• Demonstrated analytical prowess
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a professional and collaborative environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop PowerPoint presentations and utilize Microsoft excel advanced features
• Eligibility to work in the United States including being able to obtain work permits/visas for the other countries
