To continue our strong growth, Repucom is seeking a Vice President, Media and Entertainment for the North American market, to be based in our Stamford, CT office. We are looking for an experienced and skilled team member who can function equally well in Sales and Partnership Management, and who is passionate about media and entertainment.
The qualified candidate will have a strong understanding of analytics and media centric business models, and will be motivated by delivering against sales targets. The position will work with all our existing clients through the full sales life cycle – creating introductions, building concrete proposals with help of our research team, negotiating & providing strategic recommendations and solutions – in addition to targeting new prospects and driving them to closure. To achieve sales results, the position will work closely with a cross-functional team within Repucom. In this emerging sector you will find massive opportunities to grow with us, and the position will be a formative step in developing and growing the Media and Entertainment solution within Repucom’s North American business.
Responsibilities:
Proactively and organically produce to performance standards (measureable results = quotas and targets) through leveraging and building relationships, researching new accounts and their respective needs across Media and Entertainment entities
Achieve maximum revenue potential across a broad range of Media and Entertainment client targets
Maintain and grow current revenues from existing clients by adding new products and services into their existing service offering
Identify and cultivate relationships with senior level personal who make or influence research and data purchasing decisions
Develop sales strategy and sales presentations to clients and potential clients
Respond to formal requests for information and requests for proposal processes
Drive proposals, approaches, pricing and perform post-deal analyses
Develop accurate revenue forecasts by complementing sales methodologies in the post sales and revenue management process
Identify, forecast and lead efforts to drive product performance, customer health and churn risk for all clients
Partner cross functionally to influence product development, planning and spearhead opportunities to optimize the client experience
Prepare key account and management reports
Maintain deep competitive and industry knowledge to drive strategy and client discussion
Manage pipeline of prospective clients and provide regular updates on communications and status on all efforts made to generate new business
Represent Repucom at conferences, meetings, networking events, and other marketing initiatives
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years’ experience within the media and entertainment landscape – media networks, ad sales, digital media/platform, music labels, entertainment events
First hand understanding of the Media business including familiarity with Networks, Ad Sales, Business Intelligence and Business Strategy teams
Proven track record of driving and delivering measurable sales results and advancing partnerships
Understanding of both quantitative and qualitative research methods and appropriate use in market
Proven ability to establish productive working relationships at all levels and influence change with internal and external business partners
Data driven solutions capabilities to delivering against sales targets
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to build strong partnerships and working relationships
Preferably based in New York, but will consider Los Angeles based applicants
Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus
