Livestream's video playback experience team builds the clients that are viewed by millions around the world. This is an opportunity to develop at the forefront of video technology on the modern web, where technical challenges meet graceful interfaces.
We are looking for ECMAScript developers that are adept with JavaScript and other derivations, such as ActionScript. In addition, strong candidates have built solid user experiences around video playback, and understand modern video protocols. Candidates should also be detail-oriented and work effectively in an agile team.

Responsibilities
• Desktop and mobile development with HTML5, JavaScript, and ActionScript.
• Performances measurement and tuning across platforms.
• Writing simple, clean code to power new features, while maintaining a legacy codebase.
• Driving towards the best video playback experience.
• Coordinate with API, QA, and video product teams effectively.
Experience and Skills
• 4+ years building web applications.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Flash development is a big plus.
• Familiarity with streaming media formats and delivery techniques is a plus.
• Experience in programming interactive browser-based applications.
• Willingness to learn and experiment with new technology.
• Solid understanding of object oriented design.
• Critical attention to detail.
