The Role:
• Support all workstations and laptop issues, including hardware, OS and application.
• Provide day-to-day technical desktop support for the company’s VFX artists using Linux, OS X and Windows workstations and laptops.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues for the workstations, laptops, monitors, design tablets and printers.
• Ensure all systems’ manuals and relevant documentation are updated and kept organized.
• Create system manuals and documentation as required.
We’d like to talk to you if you have:
• In-depth knowledge and ability to solve both operating system and application problems in Linux, OS X and Windows
• In-depth knowledge of PC and MAC hardware
• Command-line skills (an asset)
• Basic knowledge in network file systems
• General networking knowledge
• Basic knowledge of Bash, python or perl scripting
• Basic knowledge of deployment and management systems such as Kickstart, YUM or Puppet
• Excellent communication, organisation and people skills
• Bilingualism (English and French)
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role
