SUMMARY
Campaign Managers will be responsible for all post-sale advertising account management activities and contribute as a key player in foundational projects. This role will report into a regional Manager of Ad Operations, but will work closely with the Campaign Coordinator and other sales support teams including Inventory Planning, Creative Producers, Sales Marketing, Program Managers, Web Developers, Accounts Receivable, Sales and Sales Development professionals. The primary responsibility for the Campaign Manager is to ensure 100% delivery and invoicing of all assigned campaigns. Ad Operations is a core multidisciplinary function that interfaces with nearly every department within the company. This affords this individual contributor a unique experience with exposure to many parts of the advertising and media business at a rapidly growing startup with technology as its DNA.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Sales account management activities supporting display and video ad campaigns for Fortune 1000 advertisers, including leadership of communications and coordination with premier television advertising customers, the ad agencies that represent them and internal cross-functional groups
• Reviewing insertion orders, securing campaigns assets, driving creative kick off calls, communicating creative ad specifications, and managing custom creative components including lead times
• Partner with Campaign Coordinator on day to day campaign management and understanding of troubleshooting issues to maximize campaign performance including, but not limited to ad serving, third party discrepancies, pacing, and reporting
• Responsible for campaign delivery, including campaign reporting, analysis, advertiser insights and order optimization
• Project management of custom/complex ad offerings, including content sponsorships and new or intricate creative ad formats
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable team to close out monthly billing and resolve monthly and ongoing invoicing queries
• On-call support may be required for after hours client-related emergencies
WHAT TO BRING
• 2-3 years of digital advertising/online media experience, with a minimum of 1 year of digital ad trafficking experience
• Bachelor’s Degree from a top 4-yr university program
• Professional communication skills, both internally and externally with customers. Ability to articulate thoughts and concepts fluidly. Personality to quickly build rapport and build professional relationships
• Ability to thrive in a face-paced, deadline driven environment that supports a rapidly evolving digital sales marketplace
• Quick learner; critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to quickly learn and grow new productivity software application tools
NICE-TO-HAVES
• Coursework in Business Administration, Media, Advertising, or Marketing
• Strong interest in the digital media, advertising, and emerging technology industries
• Love and comfort with all things tech, including consumer websites, mobile/tablet, over-the-top and connected TV platforms, as well as video game devices
• Experience within the digital online advertising ecosystem, including familiarity with third-party ad servers such as Doubleclick for Publishers (DFP), Atlas, FreeWheel, Sizmek, Pointroll, etc
