Job Summary
The Social Media Designer will work with our Social Community Engagement & Strategy teams to inspire original and unique content, producing standout social creative and driving social content strategy for clients.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Develop exclusive social content & accompanying strategies to engage existing communities and build new ones
• Tap into innovative trends and proven past experiences to strengthen engagement on clients’ key social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Pinterest, Vine, Tumblr, Snapchat, etc.).
• Work with the Consumer Engagement team to deliver “best practices” of social content cross-client, and to ideate on and execute successful social media campaigns
• Engage in consultative planning to meet business requirements and optimize the social experience.
• Continue to evolve and update own skillset for social content creation capabilities
Knowledge and Skills Required
• 3-5 years of experience (either in-house or agency). Prior social media/digital work experience is a must.
• BA/BS Required (Graphic Design or a related field)
• Expert proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and other design programs
• Expert knowledge of all social platforms and the creative allowances/limitations on each
• Experience with social content formats like GIFs, Vines, Cinemagraphs, Stop Motion, 3D, Hyperlapse video, etc.
• Experience in social marketing, infographics, advertising, and branded identity development
• Experience with web development and HTML5 is a plus
• Solid understanding of typography, color theory, and composition principles
• Must have portfolio available
