Horizon Media is looking for a FREELANCE / TEMPORARY SENIOR SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCER.
The position could start immediately for the right candidate and would last at the very least until the end of the 2015 calendar year.
The ideal candidate would be experienced in two key areas – 1. Client adoption and understanding of social marketing tactics as part of broader go-to-market digital marketing plans, and 2. The creation of a best-in-class Influencer activation sub-practice within Horizon’s overall social media service offerings.
Key responsibilities are identified as follows:
• Social Strategy
◦ Establish regular touchpoints with Digital colleagues and Brand colleagues for the sharing and education around relevant social trends, platforms, partners and opportunities.
◦ Participate in the following critical media planning process points with Digital and Brand colleagues to ensure vital social thinking and application is applied to media plans:
§ Brainstorming
§ Partner identification
§ RFP reviews
§ KPI and measurement framework creation
§ Crafting the social media narrative
§ Performance review and analysis for future testing and improvement
◦ Provides direct, client social strategy as requested* (these types of requests will be handled individually to assess the scope of each ask and determine whether an incremental support SOW will need to be established.)
◦ Forms repeatable meeting schedule with media colleagues on shared accounts in other channels like OOH, TV, Audio, Print, Scout, Bungalow in order to facilitate making their media outputs more social as well.
Requirements:
◦ Candidate will need to identify all extended team members and establish a trusted rapport and relationship to achieve involvement in the planning process that will result in impactful and reproduce-able outcomes.
◦ Candidate will need to help digital colleagues understand necessary processes that involve other facets of the social practice – Marketplace buying, Community Management, Social Analytics, Social CRM, SBMS entry, etc.
◦ Candidate will need to be dedicated and organized around meeting with vendors, thought leaders, and attending relevant industry activities to maintain a knowledge level that will be valuable to the counsel he/she will provide internally.
Influencer Practice Development:
◦ Formulates a vision for the best way to build Influencer expertise within Horizon Media being cognizant of the landscape of external Influencer companies, client appetite for Influencer involvement, structures at competitor agencies, evolving models and technologies.
◦ Acts on vision to get it implementedo Creates an understanding amongst agency colleagues for how Influencer opportunities should be thought of throughout the planning and brand development process.
◦ Responds to “internal rfps” with best-in-class proposalso Manages the execution of proposals and assists in the reporting and articulation of results.
◦ Stays on the forefont of practice-enhancing opportunities – ie – dashboard licensing? Exclusive relationships? White labeling? Etc.
Other Responsibilities that may surface include:
◦ Industry participation in the form of conferences, event and trade coverage.
◦ Concepting and participation in ways to market Horizon’s social practice.
◦ Contribution and participation in ideas to support invention at Horizon from a social media standpoint.
Requirements:
• Candidate must have 10+ years experience in a related position or digital marketing role.
• Own an impressive rolodex of influencer relationships
• Be able to craft a vision for how a social media activation offering should develop
• Project manage big initiatives
• Demonstrated examples of selling through emerging concepts
• Manage activation forecast
• Must have knowledge of how all media can be enhanced by social amplification
• Must be inclined to establish relationships and partnerships as opposed to vendor interactions
• Must demonstrate an understanding of the overlap of paid, owned and earned media as influenced by social media
• Must have a codified pov on the value of social media
• Must have the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable information
• Must be able to lead innovative exploration in a nimble, ever-changing space
