Horizon Media, Inc., headquartered in New York City, is the largest independent media services company in the world.
We are currently looking to hire an Assistant Media Buyerin our Local Audio Buying Department. In this role you will assist your buyer with the monitoring and maintenance of all media projects and buying assignments.
Main Responsibilities:
• Implement work related goals as established by buyer
• Strong Organization and attention to details
• Call for avails and input as requested
• Double check buys to assure they are client ready (spelling, comments, DP codes, etc)
• Order and confirm buys through Eleven System with station/rep in a timely manner
• Accurately check and maintain contracts within time frame(TV only)
• Accurately maintain buy files
• Accurately maintain Eleven Confirmations in a timely manner
• Input make goods in a timely manner
• Maintain correct financial information for buys in the system
• Assist in resolving discrepancies in a timely and correct manner
• Meet all due dates
• Learn and understand media terminology
• Able to adjust to work flow and plan work accordingly
• Maintain good relationships with reps and their assistants
• Effectively communicate needs to sales people and get results in a timely manner
• Successfully function as a team player and maintain a positive attitude
• Effectively communicate work related matters to buyer in a timely and accurate manner
• Demonstrate an interest in entire scope of buying assignments to prepare for advancement
• Eventually be able to identify problems and come in with proposed solutions
• Eventually be able to assume buying responsibilities from pre-buy to post-buy in small markets with buyer assistance
