Job Summary: The Senior Social Strategist will work together with the Supervisor, Social Strategy to establish the social media strategy for client endeavors, encompassing campaigns and always-on approaches.
The Senior Social Strategist is able to synthesize a strategic design and framework into a well-formulated set of media tactics that ladder up to overarching brand objectives through the social media space.
Main Responsibilities:
Ø Devises a strategic framework for social media contributions to brand objectives
Ø Drives brainstorming and conception efforts
Ø Directs Specialist, Social Media Activations in the proposal and presentation development process
Ø Spearheads conversations across other senior strategy activation leads to identify cross-media opportunities
Ø Tasks the marketplace to develop client appropriate solutions and innovations in the social media space
Ø Oversees post-mortems and campaign recaps to develop actionable improvement opportunities
Ø Maintains broad social industry and cultural awareness through tools and other mechanisms to take advantage of real-time opportunities
Key Relationships:
Internal: Activation Senior Leads – Establishes regular cadence for plan sharing to more smartly unite efforts
Senior Brand Leadership – Earns rapport with Brand teams to garner opportunities for expert counsel direct to client inquiries and achieve license to propose efforts and ideas outside of planning cycles
External: Senior Social Clients – Manages client relationship at a respected level for delivering thought leadership and strategic on brand social thinking at all times
Senior Partner relationships – Establishes lines of communication and goodwill with senior leaders and industry leaving publishers to achieve best in class service, attention and consideration.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ø Experience with paid social required.
Ø 3+ years social media strategy desired.Ø Strong writing and language skills.

Requirements:
• A minimum of 4 years previous work experience in a social media marketing capacity.
• 4 year college degree
• Solid communication skills (written & verbal)
• Strong PowerPoint skills
• Experience with Excel
• An understanding of media planning functions
• Knowledge of the social media ecosystem and how insights, paid, earned and owned social media inform, involve and amplify one another
• Willingness to experiment in social media on behalf of our clients
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and learn quickly
• Self starter; takes initiative; and ability to work independently and as part of a team
