Description
We’re looking for a motivating and dynamic Vice President of Sales to lead our Digital Client Sales Team here at our NYC Headquarters. This key talent must be a proven sales winner with extensive digital sales experience and a fearlessly entrepreneurial attitude.
As VP of Sales you will be tasked with mentoring and driving our National sales team—based on the East and West Coasts—to generate new business, grow existing business and hit all sales goals in the process. You will develop the strategies necessary to win at both the agency and client level through the cross departmental implementation of responsive and proactive tactics and materials.
You’ll set sales goals on both the individual and team level, inspiring and motivating each player to hit and exceed their individual targets. You’ll work closely with our VP of Sales Development and CFO to ensure proper proposal development and business development goals accordingly.
In short, you’ll take the ball and run with it. And score.
Responsibilities
• Lead a talented team of 6 digital sellers
• Develop National sales strategy with our internal leadership that will generate revenue through both agency and client relationships.
• Drive revenue growth objectives by forecasting quarterly and annual targets and implementing an effective go-to-market strategy
• Develop, implement and manage a thorough and consistent sales process with appropriate metrics for sales pipeline management
• Consistently use Sales Force and other automation tools to effectively measure individual team member opportunity activity and outcome metrics.
• Collaborate with the VP of Sales Development to maintain and increase market revenue, sales products, sales materials and trade presence
• Ensure efficient department operations by implementing an effective go-to-market structure and expense management
• Stay abreast of relevant market trends, client needs, expectations and opportunities as well as shifts in the competitive landscape.
• Personally build and maintain deep relationships with key industry leaders.
• Execute a high volume of day-to-day sales activities and in person meetings
• Plan and implement sales meetings, training, and motivational activities
• Communicate client objectives and feedback internally.
Qualifications
• 15+ years successful digital advertising sales leadership experience
• Outstanding communications skills including negotiation skills and well-honed consultative selling skills.
• Flawless presentation skills and the ability to lead strategic conversations that address the goals of UrbanDaddy and the client
• A strong network of senior level relationships and relevant contacts at major advertising and marketing agencies
• Male and luxury media background a plus: Liquor, Automotive, Gear, Financial,
• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of digital media business and agency partner requirements
• Ability to sell integrated sophisticated programs across platforms: content, commerce, technology
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required
• Ability to drive revenue in a fast paced, highly creative organization
