Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting the General Manager with the Novelle social media strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging venue visitation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
• Schedules and develops creative marketing materials
• Manages and maintains venue website
• Assists General Manager with the oversight and maintenance of all social media accounts
• Responsible for the delivery of marketing materials to necessary departments and employees
• Works with artist management for approval of marketing pieces
• Responsible for scheduling photographers, videographers and photo shoots
• Manages the venue’s presence in social media spaces, including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides administrative support to General Manager
• Assists with special projects
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing or Communications
• One year of professional experience in a digital marketing role
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Proficient in Photoshop
• In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, three years of professional experience in a digital marketing role may be considered
Competencies:Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their respective participants and best use of each channel
• Thinks clearly, remains calm and resolves issues using good judgment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment
Training Requirements:
• Knowledge of department policies and procedures
• Must attend all appropriate Human Resources Manager Training classes
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their respective participants and best use of each channel
• Strong technical understanding of social, digital and mobile platforms and the ability to learn new applications
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Busy office work environment with deadlines and tight work schedules
• Work schedules are irregular and frequently interrupted in order to meet demands
• Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
