Overview
HarperCollins Christian Publishing seeks a bilingual Sales Coordinator to compliment their Spanish Sales team. The Coordinator is vital to the success of the Sales team, and plays an important role allowing the salespeople to concentrate on sales, and less concerned with the needed but timely administrative tasks.
One of the main roles of the Sales Coordinator is to support the sales team by ensuring all requested reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Reports range from daily reports, quarterly reports by salesperson, expense reports, adhoc reports, and any others in between.
The Coordinator will also be assisting the Sr. Director in day to day operations by keeping up with office needs, office management help, helping with the coordination of office visits, travel plans and expense reporting.
The Coordinator will also work with the Spanish sales team assisting with order forms, and assisting in the communication with Production, Customer Service, Warehousing, Inventory, and Publishing. They will also be responsible for all logistics involving our participation in various industry tradeshows.
Responsibilities
• Running various reports for the sales team – NYP Sales Plan, Last Chance Report, 11 Stratum reports for CLIE, Spanish Rep. Monthly reports, Quarterly reports for reps, special title reports as needed
• Book travel for Sr. Director and help with travel of Sales team as needed, prepare travel folders and sales pitch materials
• Prepare and submit expense report monthly
• Schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and take notes as needed
• Gratis all copies needed for Sales team and clients
• Coordinate work being done by customer Service reps and clients
• Maintain and correct Sales order form
• Communicate with in house Production, Customer Service, Warehousing, Inventory and Publishing
• Order office supplies
Qualifications
Knowledge:Candidates with prior knowledge of the publishing industry are highly desired. Since this team sells both internationally and domestic, knowledge of international cultures, and/or ability to learn new cultures is very helpful
Work Experience:1 – 3 years of experience in a support role providing administrative assistance and/or customer service required. Experience supporting multiple team members and/or experience in publishing industry strongly preferred.
Education:2-year AA college degree desired. Equivalent support experience in the publishing industry may be considered in lieu of degree.
Skills:
• Bilingual (both verbal and written) in Spanish / English is a must for consideration.
• Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills in Access, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint strongly desired.
• Tech savvy with the ability to quickly learn new internal computer programs is a must.
• A true team player who can juggle multiple priorities without frustration.
• Must be highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
