JOB SUMMARY
The Sr Director, Field Ops Learning Services is responsible for the effective, end-to-end design and deployment of the learning experience for Field Operations. This position is responsible for identifying and analyzing learning/training gaps/needs and developing high-quality curriculum for learners. He/She will lead a team of Instructional Designers, and through partnerships with the Learning Delivery Teams in the Field will ensure learning solutions are aligned with the overall customer experience needs of the company. While focusing solutions on scalability, business impact, and real-time relevance, this position will partner with the field delivery and business teams to serve as the primary interface for curriculum review, feedback, and measurement. He/she will be the primary learning point of contact for Field Operations, including managing key business relationships with internal customers and handling learning-related escalations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Lead a high-performing learning design team to analyze business requirements and create modern, effective learning solutions.
Build strong partnerships with the Regional leadership and delivery managers to ensure established curriculum is effectively and consistently implemented and address obstacles in a collaborative manner.
Build and maintain collaborative partnerships cross-functionally within Field Operations and across business units with key stakeholders to analyze and understand the learning needs of current and future products/services, tools, processes, and required skills.
Establish and maintain strong partnerships as well as act as key point of contact with external learning solution vendors, such as NCTI and SCTE, for enhancing learning offerings and dynamic reporting.
Represent Field Operations at the corporate leadership level, including on the Corporate Learning Council, leading collaborative discussions on learning and training across business units, and gaining executive buy-in
Develop a vision and long-term roadmap for ensuring state-of-the art and effective learning solutions are created and implemented with collaboration from key Field Operations stakeholders, Corporate Learning Solutions, and other stakeholders.
Prioritize multiple initiatives and curriculum development requests based on business needs.
In collaboration with Regional delivery managers, continually evaluate and analyze ongoing effectiveness of learning solutions.
Recommend process, curriculum, and delivery improvements to ensure desired business outcomes are achieved.
Report on effectiveness on curriculum and training effectiveness to Field Operations Leadership.
Leverage learning technology and company platforms to elevate and modernize the FO Learning and Development function.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
• Strong communication skills and experience with negotiating requirements with senior executives and internal customers
• Superior interpersonal, relationship-development, influence management, and performance management skills
• Experience in a consulting/consultative leadership role is required, with a demonstrated track record of success.
• Driven, focused, and highly process-oriented.
• Demonstrated portfolio of learning experience designs and solutions with measureable results
• Experience with modern learning methodologies and design tools, including eLearning, video, podcast, and simulations.
• Demonstrated ability to educate, communicate, negotiate, and influence with all levels of management to produce outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and staff effectively in order to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines within budgetary and deadline constraints
• Strong track record of hiring, leading, managing, coaching and mentoring L&D design resources
• Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems while working under pressure
• Ability to show good judgment, take initiative, and make decisions to accomplish job duties
• Demonstrate an ability to work closely with peers to ensure successful learning outcomes
• Comprehensive understanding of applicable local and state rules and regulations
• Comprehensive understanding of OSHA rules and regulations, both federal and state
• Knowledge of company products and services

Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development & Effectiveness, Instructional Design, or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree preferred
Certification in Project Management/Program Management
Relevant corporate experience in a large Fortune 100 company
Knowledge of cable and telecommunications products and services
